Live Life To The Fullest

Jesus helps us look beyond ourselves to find our purpose and desires us to “Live Life To The Fullest: Enjoying the Life God Intended For You To Live.” Our purpose in life is both “out of this world living” and “living our lives for others” as The Great Commission and The Greatest Commandment explain how we should live. Jesus states our purpose: “Love the Lord Your God with all your heart, Your mind, and your soul”. He then goes on to say “Love Your Neighbor as yourself” in Matthew 22:37. This month's blog will empower you with ways on “How You Can Live Life to the Fullest”

First of all, we must start each new day with excitement and appreciation to God for allowing us to wake up. We must then focus on the things that really do matter. So cherish moments with loved ones, do what you love, gain control of your finances, be open to new things and tackle your fears, live in the present and leave the past in the past, create a bucket list, make time for fun, create a plan to accomplish your dream, help others, and be positive!

Living in the present can help you move on and be happier. You can’t change the past so there’s no point in living in it. It’s best just to learn from the outcome and move on.

-Cherish moments with loved ones.

I have four amazing sisters, a beautiful mom, and adorable nieces and nephews- o and let’s not forget an amazing son whom I love dearly. We enjoy hanging out and playing boards and card games! Our favorite is Phase 10. I also have some amazing friends at church So, you should never take a moment for granted-spend time with your loved ones and have great fun and a good time laughing and cherishing your loved ones!

-Do what YOU want to do.

What makes you happy, excited, joyful, and motivated? That’s what you should be doing with your life (as long as it’s legal)! Don’t worry about what others think or what other people want you to do start listening to YOUR heart.

If you want to go on an adventure – Go for it.

If you want to start a family – Start planning one!

If you want a better job – Get one!

If you want to change the world – Do it!

I wanted to go back to school for my Doctorate and I have my first classes this month!

-Gain control of your finances.

Many people aren’t able to live their life to the fullest- like traveling to a foreign country due to not having the money- thus the reason to gain control of your finances. So I am empowering you to pay off your debt, earn more money than you spend, stop keeping up with the Joneses, and save for retirement. Gaining control of your financial situation is important when learning how to live life to the fullest because you won’t feel as stuck when it comes to money. You may be able to do more because you won’t be held back by monetary problems. My older sisters taught me to plan trips a year in advance and make monthly payments. Even though you will never know when your last day is, you can still save and spend your money wisely, while also living the life you want. Too many people believe that they can’t lead a good life on a budget. That is not true at all. You can still live a great life while managing your money and without regret. And lastly just because you HAVE money doesn’t mean you have to SPEND it.

-Be open to new things and tackle your fears.

When was the last time you did something new? So many people live inside their comfort zone when they actually need to branch out every now and then.

Yes, stepping outside of your box can be tough, but what if it completely opened your eyes and changed your whole outlook on life? Wouldn’t that be amazing?

If you want to learn how to live life to the fullest, this is something you need to do every now and then. You could even give yourself a goal to try something new each day, each week, or each month. This is my Birthday Month and I have several new things I want to try like Aerial/Hoop Dancing.

-Create a bucket list.

A bucket list can help make you excited about life and give you fun goals to reach. This will truly mean that you have lived life to the fullest if you are able to scratch everything off your bucket list! I had to buy a pool and jacuzzi on my bucket list and I have achieved both! It’s something about writing a list and seeing the list and giving it to God that makes it come alive.

-Make time for fun.

All work and no play is never good for anyone. You should always make time for the things that you love, even if it’s just a few hours each week. This can help lift your mood, increase your motivation, and more.

For my Birthday month, I plan on going to Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure and I can’t wait to have the time of my life!

-Create a plan to reach your dream.

What do you often dream of? Maybe you want a certain career, you want to travel, or something else. Whatever you want to do, why not create a plan so that you can reach your dream? You might live in regret until that happens! You only live once, so creating a plan to achieve your dream is a good first step. I have a dream of traveling the world/country by RV and ministering to people that I meet along the way!

-Help others.

Helping others can completely change your life and change others’ lives as well. Whether you do something big or small, do something! I looove being a servant of God! Tap into places you can volunteer or how you can help your neighbor(s), friends, community, and family. I love serving in my ministries, DADDYS GIRL BRIDE OF CHRIST, LLC and Johnson Affordable Housing Opportunities, LLC (helping the homeless). I also volunteer at the food pantry, children's ministry, and Celebrate Recovery at my church.

-Be positive. Being positive is a must in order to live life to the fullest! So, laugh more, smile more, be happy with yourself, and enjoy life! Get rid of old baggage, forgive, don’t hold grudges, and stay away from negative influences, especially negative people. Make you take nothing for granted especially great people. Be excited. Be positive by making the most out of every situation, the good and the bad- for everything happens for a reason. Work hard, workout, always give 100% to everything you do and move forward with confidence and hope for the future.

So, enjoy the beauty of nature. Enjoy the journey. Love and embrace who you are while working toward who you want to become. And most of all, BE HAPPY NOW! AND remember to “Live Life to The Fullest: Enjoying the Life God Intended for You to Live!
